What’s your superpower?
Led by neurodivergent artist Sarah Lewis (Lewis), this 4 day workshop program focuses on costume design and character development - exploring ideas of everyday superheroes. Participants can expect to develop their own character, design, create and wear their own bespoke superhero costume!
Portraits taken from this workshop will be showcased at an exhibition at the Northern Rivers Community Art Gallery later in the year.

AUSLAN CHOIR
TUESDAY NIGHTS, STARTING 7 MAY
Want to make new friends and belt out a fun song in Auslan?
Come explore the world of Auslan Choir! Connect with community, and learn and practice Auslan (the Australian Sign Language of the Deaf community) through the expressive art of sign-singing. Led by Deaf creative Tallula Bourne and supported by Auslan performer/interpreter Alison Toft, expect to tap into your inner superstar as you express yourself within the magic of a 3D visual language.

Auslan Choir is an 8 week workshop program. By signing up, you agree to attend for all 8 weeks.
Cost: $15 p/week, $120 for the whole program.

No prior Auslan knowledge is required, although it is helpful.
Auslan Choir takes place online via Zoom. We will have one person present online to help troubleshoot issues and monitor the chat.
Auslan Choir will be delivered in Auslan and English, with options for closed captioning on Zoom.

Where electronic music and dance collide!
Where electronic music and dance collide, join us for this workshop program where bodies initiate movement as they bounce off sound. Led by dance artist Paul/Moonshine Walker, let go of your inhibitions as you learn improvisation techniques and use play as a tool to discover new moves.

This workshop program explores dance and public spaces with artists Kimberley McIntyre and Phil Blackman. Experience the urban environment through new eyes as you use your body to explore and respond to the shapes, lines and textures around you. Take up space. Make moves on mass. Make the streets of Lismore your stage.

The ultimate inclusive dance party!
Get your grooves ready, we’re heading back on the dance floor for the ultimate inclusive dance party! Join us for our annual Disability Community (Dis-Co) Ball where every body and ability is welcome to shake it, break it and strut it on and off the stage. Dis-Co Ball brings together artists from across Sprung’s programs to perform and lead us in a celebration of difference.

river stories
9-12 JANUARY
Dreaming on river time
Drawing on the yarns of Bundjalung Elder Julia Paden and led by local First Nations artists Mitch King (Yaegl/Bundjalung) and Jade Dewi Tyas Tunggal (Aust/Java), River Stories is a 4 day inclusive and accessible workshop bringing First Nations contemporary culture and disability culture together.
Explore story and memory connected to water, summer and time and expect to feel into and move your body, listen to Country, and explore sensations of sand and water.
