river stories

River Stories is an inclusive and accessible workshop bringing First Nations contemporary culture and disability culture together, drawing on the yarns of Bundjalung Elder Julia Paden and led by local First Nations artists Mitch King (Yaegl/Bundjalung) and Jade Dewi Tyas Tunggal (Aust/Java).

This four day workshop includes sound and movement making, to explore story, memory and joy connected to water, summer and time. Expect to feel into and move your body, listen to Country, and explore sensations of sand and water.

Dis-Co Ball

Dis-Co Ball is Sprung’s new annual disability community ball, bringing people together for an evening of unashamed joyous dancing, inspired by and featuring our Community Artists. Drawing inspiration from the Met Gala (one of New York’s most prestigious and glamorous events of the year) Dis-Co Ball is a night for EVERYONE to live large on the red carpet. Reimagining this glamorous affair in a way that centres and celebrates access and inclusion.

Expect pop up performances from Sprung Artists, drama on the red carpet and a collective celebration of difference on the dance floor. Artists and Audience alike are invited to dress to impress.

Join us for a night to celebrate community, joy, connection and inclusivity.
